We are thrilled to announce that our esteemed speaker for this event is Father Joe Freedy.

Fr. Joe Freedy, the youngest of five children, grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A gifted athlete, he played football at the University of Buffalo, serving as the starting quarterback for three years. Thousands cheered him on from the stands, yet in the midst of success, his heart remained restless—he longed for something more lasting than worldly acclaim. He couldn’t find peace in the world.

That longing led him to a surprising place and the answer came from where he least expected it – the Holy Mass! After reading The Last Supper: The Mass as Heaven on Earth by Dr. Scott Hahn, Fr. Joe encountered Christ in a profound new way and found what he was missing. The experience transformed his life and ultimately led him to the seminary.

He went on to study in Rome at the Pontifical Gregorian University and the John Paul II Institute, and was ordained to the priesthood in 2008. Since then, Fr. Joe has served as Vocation Director and Assistant Director of Evangelization for the Diocese of Pittsburgh. He now serves at Divine Grace Parish and as a Spiritual Advisor for Dry Bones Ministries, where he continues to inspire others to seek the joy and peace found only in Christ.

During the meal, you will have the opportunity to engage with Fr. Joe and learn from his wealth of wisdom and experience. As we gather together, we will enjoy a delightful meal, participate in prayer and worship, and forge connections with other women on the same spiritual journey.
